Full Stack Software Developer (PHP specialisation)
About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Full Stack Developer with a specialisation in PHP to join our development team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining web applications within the Out of Home advertising industry, working with both front and back end technologies.
You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other developers to deliver high-quality software that meets the needs of our users.
Key responsibilities:
- Full Stack Development: Develop end-to-end web applications using PHP for back-end and collaborate with UI/UX designers to build functional, responsive user interfaces using modern front-end frameworks.
- API Development & Integration: Build and maintain RESTful APIs for integration with third-party services and other internal systems.
- Database Management: Design, optimise, and maintain databases to ensure high performance and availability.
- Version Control: Maintain code integrity and organisation through version control tools (Git, GitHub).
- Security Best Practices: Implement best practices in application security to ensure data protection and compliance with industry standards.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor application performance and refactor code for scalability, minimising latency and downtime.
- Testing and Debugging: Write unit tests and integration tests for PHP code, and debug both back-end and front-end issues.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and to specifications.
Required skills and qualifications:
- Proficiency in PHP: Expert-level knowledge in PHP frameworks, e.g. Laravel.
- Database Management: Strong experience in SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL), and familiarity with database optimization and indexing.
- RESTful APIs: Proficiency in building and consuming RESTful services and working with third-party API integrations.
- Version Control: Deep experience with Git for source control management and collaboration.
- Server Management: Experience with server deployment processes, working with cloud platforms (e.g. DigitalOcean, AWS etc.), and configuring server environments.
- Testing Frameworks: Familiarity with testing frameworks such as PHPUnit.
- Front-End Development: Experience with front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and popular frameworks (Vue.js, React etc).
- Security: Knowledge of common security vulnerabilities (e.g., SQL injection, XSS) and mitigation strategies.
- Agile Methodologies: Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments, with a focus on collaboration and continuous improvement.
Preferred skills and experience:
- DevOps Knowledge: Understanding of DevOps practices, containerization (Docker), and CI/CD pipelines.
- Mobile Development: Exposure to mobile-first design and development or experience with mobile app integration.
- Experience with CMS: Experience with CMS platforms such as WordPress, Joomla, or Drupal.
Educational requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Full Stack Web Developer – DCO
About the role
We are growing and looking for an experienced full stack web developer to develop and manage dynamic creative optimization campaigns specifically for dynamic Out Of Home advertising. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of web technologies and proven experience in developing dynamic digital OOH campaigns that adapt based on real-time triggers and data.
Our preference is for a candidate with significant understanding of how the OOH industry works and the specific intricacies of this medium as opposed to online DCO creative but we can provide industry-specific training if need be.
Key responsibilities:
- Build and deliver dynamic creative campaigns for digital out-of-home media platforms, following our DCO process.
- Develop campaigns using HTML, CSS, and embedded JavaScript to meet media owner specifications.
- Develop bespoke content management systems to enable our clients to manage the media themselves (to a certain extent).
- Work with APIs, RSS feeds and data scraping to inform the triggers in our campaigns.
- Troubleshoot issues with campaigns.
- Collaborate with clients to understand technical requirements, reviewing and requesting documentation to ensure successful campaign deployment.
- Maintain a strong understanding of DOOH media players (e.g., Broadsign, Hivestack, Doohly) and their specific requirements.
Required skills & qualifications:
- Proven experience in responsive front-end web development.
- Familiarity with static page generators, PHP frameworks (e.g. Laravel) and content management systems.
- Experience deploying digital content to media owners via ZIP files, URLs, FTP etc.
- Understanding of caching strategies for offline content.
- Troubleshooting/diagnostic skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience with DOOH platforms such as Broadsign, Hivestack, or Doohly.
- Understanding of server management and campaign hosting.
