Final Destination // Blood Countdown // Lumo Labs
A Ticking Clock and a Rising Threat
In the days leading up to the release of Final Destination: Bloodlines, Warner Bros used dynamic creative to build suspense—turning the countdown itself into a visual narrative.
Running from May 12 to just before midnight on May 14, the campaign featured a live countdown displaying DAYS // HOURS // MINUTES until release. At the same time, a blood drip graphic progressively descended toward the bottom of the screen—heightening tension as time ticked away.
To create the animation, Warner Bros supplied static start, midpoint, and end-state blood layers. Latch Digital interpolated these to produce a seamless, real-time progression throughout the three-day campaign. As soon as the countdown expired, the screens automatically switched to “In Cinemas Now” static creative via a scheduled trigger in Doohly.
This campaign is a prime example of how Latch’s DCO platform can transform traditional countdowns into story-driven visual experiences—blending design, suspense, and real-time data.
